I sort of like the new look of the Red Alert 3. It’s a bit more cartoon like but the game play was great. I haven’t run into any problems with the DRM problems yet but that’s because I haven’t had to redo an installation yet.

I usually don’t redo systems unless I up grade or install a new OS which is coming up soon. The game played great on my system. So that should be no problem at all on an higher end system. As far as the story line goes, I really didn’t expect the storyline to stay the same anyway.

The only negative I can see is if one makes frequent changes to the system, then they could run into problems on the limited number of installations allowed. BTW: I feel this really doesn’t make sense to me to hit the person buying the game for what some other people are doing.

Instead it seems required the original disk be in the drive sounds like a better way to protect the rights holder. Overall, I like this game. I’m a large fan of the command and conquer series but after EA got a hold of it and took over full production control the games they were perfect as they are began to go downhill.

The gameplay originally favoring realm military hardware has jumped in to the cartoonish Japanese and animated world instead of giving us more of what we wanted they gave us what was more in fashion not only are the units in the game ridiculous but the stylized nation of gameplay has been become a laughable the only good thing about this game are the improved graphics which are now improved graphics that are laughable.

Wow, I’m not alone in the universe. Others didn’t like the gameplay either, it really was terrible. No thought on my part was needed or required. No I think I’m done with EA. No need to even turtle up a defense posture for a breather. Empty empty game. No substance at all. Music was weak too. Rehash of one march song is not enough. The whole design of the game is to push you online to EA servers. They even sent me a survey via email, wanted to give an honest critique, they have the goods on me anyway with DRM, then told me I wasn’t qualified for the survey, didn’t fit the criteria.

I have money-you have product-ignore me for marketing reasons later but not when you ask for my opinion. So the moral of the story is they don’t care what I think if they can part me from my money. DRM told them where I was so they know I own the game. Suck it EA. EA’s upper mgmnt has a fixation on copy protection and theft and charge the max price they can at the same time. We are all criminals waiting to happen I guess. With that fixation it makes me wonder about their honesty really.

Con men see con men everywhere. No replay desired or required. Finished it and put it away and deleted most! My comp did get more unstable with DRM. Hard to tell with Windows OS sometimes but the timing is peculiar. Btw you won’t get it off either. The most irritating thing about the game has got to be the online portion. Boot game and Would you like to go online?. Load or quit game Would you like to go online? No EA I don’t want to go online with your crappy game.

They screwed up crysis with this DRM crap too. Unit control, graphics, game play, some of the best out there. Killing it off? After your greedy ways hurt sales? No matter, doubt they will stop anyway. I think they will run it into the ground eventually. See ya greedbag EA. No more Ka-ching out of me for you. Mudsharks, I’ll not stick my hand in that murky pool again. Loyalty is a vice to be punished by EA.

All the EA defenders have no facts just company statements. Show the code if it’s so benign. A pox on your house, or corporate boardroom.

Best strategy game I’ve bought in a long time. No DRM either. I played through that whole campaign just to see him. It’s really not that challenging even on “hard” mode. I mean, your ore refineries are build for you at the beginning of each episode. I wish I could turn the “ally” off, but I can’t. I could go on, but it’s sufficient to say that it’s almost like the soul got ripped out of this game. Certain aspects that made it challenging and exciting like exploring territory, finding out-of-the-way resouces on your own, setting up clever supply lines, or being able to play on your own without help!

It’s like some clever marking people got together and said to themselves “You know, this Red Alert game can still make money, so let’s remake it with garish graphics, ultra low budget cut scenes, and we’ll make it easy enough so any stupid kid can be a winner without any realy stress or geniune effort”. I just got done playing through the original Supreme Commander, and it was a lot more fun. At least I didn’t have any technical problems on install.

It auto installed the patches and was good to go. Maybe it pays to buy something last. I’m sure glad I didn’t pay more for it. See all reviews. Top reviews from other countries. Report abuse. This demo includes three tutorials, a 7-minute introduction video, and a campaign mission.

In this fantastic installment of the franchise, the Soviets have stopped Albert Einstein from creating his alternate timeline.
